Chocolate Cranberry Yogurt Sundae

I had the BEST lunch today so I had to share this Chocolate Cranberry Yogurt Sundae with you.  I wasn’t even going to post today, but as I was dreamily eating this somewhat healthy yogurt sundae, I felt the need to share!

It all started with my German Chocolate Cake Granola I made last week.  I know I’m not being modest, but this stuff is good!  As well, granola is super easy to make and you can really make any flavor you want.  Plus the main ingredient is heart healthy whole oats.  When you add a little chocolate and brown sugar, you don’t feel all that bad!

So I started this sundae with a base of Non-Fat StonyfieldFarms Organic Chocolate Underground Yogurt.  This is one of the best fat free treats out there.  It has 0% fat (obviously), 20% of your daily calcium requirement and it’s organic – no artificial hormones, antibiotics or GMO’s.  When topped with whole grain granola (it even has quinoa in it!), some extra chocolate chips, craisins and coconut, I think it can be officially called a sundae.

Here’s a little trick I employ to make this sundae even better – I let the granola sit in the yogurt for a little while so the cranberries soften up and taste like little pieces of candy.

Have a great weekend and don’t forget to treat yourself to a healthy Chocolate Cranberry Yogurt Sundae – your whole family will love it!
